Mount Pleasant MI US Faculty Reference Librarian / Bibliographer Married 2 Rob Faleer Shirley Holton Faleer 4 Central Michigan University (B.S. in Ed., 1974)
Wayne State University (M.S.L.S., 1977)
I have been a Reference Librarian, bibliographer, and historian at Central Michigan University since 1979. My areas of scholarly interest are in English Romanesque and Gothic church architecture, religious iconography and symbolism, and medieval defensive architecture, which has given me the opportunity to travel many times to the U.K. to conduct research. My last major research project resulted in the publication of my book Church Woodwork in the British Isles, 1100-1535: An Annotated Bibliography (Rowman & Littlefield). I am currently working on a book project dealing with medieval and early modern era defensive architecture of the English and Scottish Marches.

I have been very happily married to Shirley Holton Faleer (Grand Ledge High School--1971) since 1977--we've been together as a couple for 45 years. Shirley is a counselor and play therapist in private practice. Shirley and I are committed vegetarians.

Our son Ian has a B.M. in Music Education (Oberlin College, Music Conservatory) and an M.M. in Conducting (Central Michigan University); he is currently teaching high school music as well as writing music for online games. Our daughter Leah has a B.A. with Honors in Studio Art: Sculpture (Oberlin College) and an M.A. with Honors in Art Therapy and Counseling (Ursuline College)--she is a licensed counselor, and she and her husband live in Ann Arbor, Michigan. Ian is married to Anakarine Solorzano Gonzalez, a singer (M.M. in Vocal Performance) and native of Venezuela, and between them we have three grandchildren--Daniel Bulhosa, our step-grandson, who graduated from MIT in Cambridge, MA, with a double major in physics and mathematics, and who now works for Weebly in San Francisco; Eva Lucia, our adorable bilingual granddaughter; Matias Gabriel, also quickly becoming fluently bilingual. Leah was married in San Diego in August, 2010, to Sam Marcus, who was our son's best friend at Oberlin College--Sam is a medical software developer and consultant and also develops online games with our son Ian via their company, WhileTrueFork. Leah and Sam are the parents of our grandson Avery Benjamin Marcus. The "Now" photo shows Shirley and I standing on a bridge spanning the Ewes Water in Langholm, Scotland in September 2013.

I have spent the last nine years in applied research just recently moved into product managment.

Looking forward to trying to remember those beyond the few I do remember.

New York NY US Exhibit/Furniture Designer www.dflatt.com Married 1 David Flatt Judi Flatt BFA Northern Michigan University
MA Pratt Institute
Left Grosse Pointe the day after graduation, I returned for a year working at Chrysler in '71-'72.  After Northern Michigan University, I moved to Madison WI. and started designing and building furniture.

I've been living and working in NYC since 1980, own and operate a company that designs and builds trade show exhibits and furniture here in NYC.  this allows me to travel often, for business and pleasure.  I thoroughly love living in NYC,  I attend the Opera, see plays, and experience all that NYC offers.  I enjoy driving machines with 2 and 4 wheels, sailing, and diving.

NYC has been a great place to grow a family. Judi, my wife, and I have a son Miles Flatt, a graduate of Indiana University, who is currently producing videos for the start up banking company he is working for.  My 2 brothers, and their children, are a big part of my life, and I often travel to see them, and both of my parents.

Loudon TN US Retired Market Development Director Married 4 Sue Tompkins Cardarella (Formella) Dennis Cardarella 4 grandsons Marquette University, Milwaukee, WI
Wow!  50 years!  I really don't remember many people from high school other than close friends.  I moved away from Grosse Pointe the day after graduation and didn't return to visit until our 20th reunion.

My second husband and I retired "young" and moved to a golf and boating community in eastern TN.  We're in paradise living on the golf course with the Smoky Mountains beyond.  Our lake and the Tennessee River have provided us with endless miles of boating pleasure.  Between us, my
husband and I have 4 great kids and 4 young grandsons.

If I don't make it to the reunion, best wishes to all of you for many more wonderful years ahead.

Old Lyme CT US Naval Architect www.pfna.com Married 2 pfuchs1 Candace U of M BSE Naval Architecture 1974
U of M MSE Naval Architecture 1975
After college spent a lot of time sailing and rowing. In sailing my top achievement was defending the America's Cup in 1977 on "Courageous" with Ted Turner. In rowing I was on the US National Team six times and placed in the medals 4 times and won the Pan Am Games, all in singles and doubles.
That somewhat delayed real life like marriage and kids until I married Candace in 1994. It was a 'finally' moment for a number of people...We bought a house in Darien, CT and had two sons Peter, now 12 and Sam, now 9. In 2004 we moved to Old Lyme, CT, a really great place to live, and have enjoyed that for the last six years.
Through all my 'play' I worked independently as a naval architect designing sail and power boats, which I have continued to do working from an office in my home.
Life is good, we are happy and love where we live. If I have any complaints, I just put it in the bin and move on.
Thanks for all the work on the reunion!
